Every time there is voting by writers, I feel that one or two would vote against common sense for their own attention. I thought that this would be the case for Stephen Curry and the MVP award.
But instead, all the writers did what was right and Curry is the first ever unanimous MVP in league history.
Curry was the obvious choice and him winning the award just shows that we are blessed to be witnessing such greatness.

Stephen Curry is going to win the NBA MVP award again according to reports. This was a very easy choice and everyone who had watched the NBA consistently this year knew that Curry was the best player in the league.
Curry exceeded in pretty much every category in his game this season, including his own three-point mark which he shattered. He led the Warriors to the best regular season in the league and has become the biggest global icon in the game right now.
He is currently recovering from an MCL injury but once he returns, he will get a chance to continue his quest for back-to-back titles.
But for now, the league will celebrate the great player that he is. No other player in the league was this impressive and this good all season long. Congratulations, Steph!
Stephen Curry got a triple-double in his rookie year and from that day, I knew that the kid was special. I didn’t know how it would have worked out with him and Monta Ellis. But when the team moved Ellis and put faith in Curry despite his ankle issue, I was just hopeful he could stay healthy.
What we got was this young kid growing into a living legend on the court. Simply amazing! Now the dream continues and I hope to see the NBA title come back to the Bay.
LeBron James deserves the MVP award, but I am glad he didn’t win it by unanimous vote.
LeBron James was awarded his fourth MVP title this weekend and he almost made history with a unanimous vote. However, all but one vote went his way. That one vote, made by the Boston Globe’s Gary Washburn, went to Carmelo Anthony.
Throughout the entire year, I expected James to win the MVP. He did everything that made him the best candidate for the award. But the reasoning by Washburn for Anthony made some sense to me.
“I just honestly felt that Carmelo Anthony lifted the Knicks to new heights this season – a No. 2 seed and their first division title in 19 years – with an aging roster, the team’s second-best player [Amar’e Stoudemire] out most of the season and a myriad of other injuries,” Washburn told Yahoo! Sports. “LeBron James is unquestionably the best player in the league, but I felt this season Anthony had more value to his team.”
